Classroom Assessment Literacy Measure

CALM Description:

Classroom Assessment Literacy Measure (CALM) aims to evaluate educators’ classroom assessment literacy. CALM consists of four contextualized classroom-based assessment scenarios, each followed by twelve multiple-choice questions. The items are informed by the Classroom Assessment Standards: Practices for PK-12 Teachers and the Code of Professional Responsibilities in Educational Measurement.

Suggested Uses:

CALM is recommended to be employed as a needs analysis prior to making decisions on both pre-service teacher preparation programmes and in-service continuous professional development training. It can also be used for self-evaluation by individual educators.

Instructions:

Please read each scenario followed by each question carefully. Select the best option for each question. If you are unsure, select the option you think is the best.
